We're excited to share some important updates on the progress of our capital campaign and the impact your support is having on our organization and the communities we serve. Thanks to your generosity and commitment, we have made significant strides in improving and expanding our facility, which has allowed us to better meet the growing need for food assistance in our service area. 

Refrigeration Annex Completed

One of the major milestones we've achieved is the conversion of an existing outbuilding into a refrigerator/freezer annex. This new space has greatly expanded our cold storage capacity, allowing us to handle more perishable food items like fresh produce, dairy and proteins. With this addition, we are better equipped to provide nutritious food to the neighbors we serve, especially during times of high demand. 

Office Space and Exterior Renovations

We are also in the process of updating the office space within the new addition to our facility, These renovations will create a more efficient work environment for our staff, enhancing our ability to manage day-to-day operations and serve our community effectively. Additionally, exterior renovations have begun, which will improve the overall functionality of the building, providing a welcoming and safe environment for volunteers, visitors, and staff. 

Collaboration with Feeding Our Kids

The expansion of our space has also opened the door for deeper collaboration with one of our BackPack program partners, Feeding Our Kids. We are thrilled to share that they are now using our warehouse to run their operations, including hosting volunteers to pack bags of food that are distributed to schoolchildren. This partnership is helping ensure that even more children in our community have access to nutritious food on weekends and during school breaks.
