The faces of hunger may surprise you. The neighbors we serve include seniors, children, hardworking families, single parents, the newly unemployed, and veterans.
In fact, at least 1 in 8 of our neighbors are experiencing hunger at any given time. Food insecurity can be detrimental to a child's development, and forces parents and other adults to make difficult compromises about what bills to pay on a strained budget.
