Champaign Young Ag Leaders will be hosting a farm open house at Prairie Fruits Farm to emphasize the importance of the dairy industry. Local Creameries such as Prairie Fruits, Kilgus Creamery, Green Meadows Dairy, and more will have products for sample as well as purchase. Non-perishable food donations are encouraged and will be collected at the parking lot. Also, a cookout which will feature dairy products such as grilled cheese sandwiches and milk will be offered as the net proceeds will benefit Eastern Illinois Foodbank.
