1 out of 5 children in eastern Illinois struggle with hunger! 1 out of 7 individuals don't know where their next meal will come from! Want to help out? Your local post office will deliver yellow plastic donation bags to mailboxes across Central Illinois. Fill these donation bags with non-perishable food items, place donation bag next to your mailbox before your mail carrier arrives. Upon pickup, the mail carrier will make sure that your bag is delivered to the Eastern Illinois Foodbank or a local food pantry. If a yellow donation bag has not been placed by your mailbox, you can still donate. Just leave your non-perishable food items in a durable plastic bag and place it next to the mailbox.
