The National Association of Letter Carriers is holding its 23rd annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive – the nation’s largest single day food drive. How can you help? On May 9 simply place your nonperishable food donation in a plastic bag next to your mailbox. Your mail carrier will pick up it up and do the rest! Please make sure food donations are unopened and in non-breakable containers.
Donations received from this drive come at an important time of the year when many families are struggling with food insecurity. As schools let out for summer break many families struggle to put food on the table. Children and families who rely on free or reduced school breakfast and lunch turn to our member food pantries and school pantries for help. Food donations received from the Stamp Out Hunger Drive can keep our shopping area shelves stocked for 6 months and will provide a consistent and diverse source of emergency food product to our member agencies.

Our most needed food items include:
• Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)
• Canned complete meals (ravioli, Spagetti O's, etc.)
• Canned beans and other proteins
• Canned fruits & vegetables
• Boxed meals (mac n cheese, Hamburger Helper, etc.)
• Peanut butter
