September is Hunger Action Month! Eastern Illinois Foodbank joins Feeding America food banks across the country to take part in the month-long campaign to inspire people to take action and raise awareness of food insecurity.
For millions of people in America, a daily meal is a choice between food and other critical needs like medicine, housing, or transportation. No one should have to make those types of choices.
How will you take action?
- Donate! It's easy and makes a huge impact. Every $1 provides someone facing food insecurity enough food for a whole day. Visit our donation page and help feed our neighbors facing hunger today.
- Volunteer! Check out EIF's volunteer opportunities.
- Advocate! Join the conversation about hunger and raise awareness on social media with #HungerActionMonth. Be sure to tag @eifoodbank and @FeedingAmerica
- Go Orange! Orange is the color of hunger relief. This Hunger Action Day (September 17), let's join together by wearing orange and raising our voices all across the country on behalf of the millions of people facing hunger.
