Efforts to alleviate hunger in eastern Illinois require incredible collaboration and teamwork. Eastern Illinois Foodbank is proud to work with a variety of partners who support our Mission and strive together to meet hunger relief needs.

The Corporate Partners of Eastern Illinois Foodbank provide a tremendous source of support and resources. Three out of every four pounds of food and food products that are distributed via the Foodbank come from our Corporate Sponsors. The food manufacturing, service and distribution industries know food, they understand hunger and the need for efficiency in operations, and they assume a leadership role in meeting hunger needs.

As demonstrated every day, our Corporate Sponsors accept a special responsibility to alleviate hunger and to assure minimal food and food product waste and loss in the industry. The Foodbank would clearly not be in a position of providing anywhere near the amount of food weekly, monthly or annually without these companies and their resourcefulness.

In addition to providing the major sources of food, our Corporate Partners and various Corporate Sponsors provide significant financial donations, in-kind gifts and grants for various drives and during the course of the year. Many sponsor and coordinate food gift drives within their companies and across the region, and many provide volunteers to our Warehouse Operations to help sort and inspect food.
