Memorial
or Tribute Giving
Memorials
or Tributes
Giving
support to Eastern Illinois Foodbank can occur in the form
of a Memorial Gift or a Tribute Gift made to honor and memorialize
a loved one or person of special relationship.
Such
a gift is seen as a truly outstanding way to pay tribute
to a person or commemorate a particular occasion.
Memorial
Gift
A special way to demonstrate your appreciation to a loved
one or a person close to someone you love and respect,
who has died.
Tribute
Gift
A special way to acknowledge a person and their contribution
to your life, or that of loved ones, or to celebrate a
special occasion.
The
Memorial Gift or Tribute Gift can be made as a cash donation
to be put toward the Annual Fund - and totally for hunger
relief - or you can direct the contribution to a particular
need or desire.
We
would be pleased to work with you and your family, organization
or group to determine how your interests and desires for
a Memorial Gift or Tribute Gift can happen.
Hunger
Risk Memorial/Tribute Program
An
alternative to a financial contribution to the Annual Fund
or creation of a Named Endowment Fund, is to participate
in the Foodbank's Hunger Risk Food Memorial/Tribute Program.
Upon
receipt of the donation, the Foodbank allocates the dollars
to the purchase/acquisition of shelf staple food products
such as canned fruits and vegetables. An acknowledgement
letter is prepared to be sent to the person, or his/her
family, for whom the Memorial Gift or Tribute Gift is directed.
The name of the person(s) for whom the gift is directed
is included in Membership Directory and acknowledged in
the Foodbank's Annual Report as well as biannual newsletter.
The family and the individuals who made the contribution
are sent a copy of the Annual Report and newsletter.
The
minimum amount to be gifted to the Foodbank and put toward
the program is $50.
