BISCUIT PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
for
Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, Corn Meal Crust Mix, Garlic Biscuit Mix
Biscuit Recipe
One (7.8 oz)
package Mix
½ cup water
2 oz shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Preheat
oven to 400 degrees F.
- In medium
bowl, combine Biscuit Mix, water and shredded cheese, if desired.
- Blend with
fork until mix is completely moistened. *
- Biscuits
can be made either as a drop biscuit or muffin tin method.
- For drop
biscuits, form each biscuit by dropping 2 rounded Tablespoons of biscuit batter
onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 8 biscuits.
- For muffin
tin biscuits, divide batter evenly into 6 cup-sized lightly
greased muffin baking pan. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 biscuit muffins.
Biscuit Recipe using American-Style Cheese Sauce
Two (7.8 oz)
packages Mix
One (3.5 oz) pouch American-style cheese sauce
¾ cup water
- Preheat
oven to 400 degrees F.
- In medium
bowl, combine Biscuit Mix, water and American-style cheese sauce.
- Blend with
fork until mix is completely moistened. *
- Follow
directions above. Note: yield
will be double above recipe, making 16 drop biscuits or 12 biscuit muffins
* Note: Crust Mix contains pieces of
shortening to yield a flakier biscuit.
These will remain visible until after
baking.
